2016 Winter trip to Germany
An energized group traveled Hamburg and Berlin in Germany to provide religious education for children, and to witness the ordination of new priests in the Christian Community.
MLK Day events to the South Side of Chicago
A thrifty wonderland on the South Side is one way that Creative ReUse Warehouse has been described. This non-profit operation resells salvaged goods and is no conventional store. The youth helped sort and manage incoming items. Another key focus for the Martin Luther King weekend took the youth to Hyde Park to meet the founder of the Invisible Institute, an organization that works with young people around issues of injustice with the police.
2015 Summer trip to Detroit - Make it Bright
Our youth helped plant urban gardens in downtown Detroit for one week. This was followed by a week-long trip to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, on the shores of Lake Superior, for camping and community.
